All the Haba toys we have purchased are well made, and bright and fun. So far, they have all been sturdy and well liked by my daughter from when she was about 3 months old, and she still plays with them at 8 months.

My son loved this rattle, but I had to take it away because it was too heavy and he repeatedly hit himself in the head with it. It is a nice product, but it is not well suited to the age range it is designed for.

5 Stars Squeak-squeak holds up well!
My daughter LOVED this toy when she was about 4-6 months. She chewed on his ears, his nose and especially loved putting his hands in her mouth. Very durable and I never worried about it coming apart. The only thing I question is how well it really cleans up. Other than that we loved this toy!

Love this Haba made toy! It is inexpensive, cute, my son loves to hear it clack-clack, and it’s made by a company I trust. I bought no toys that were not made in the US or Europe this year. I can’t say enough about Haba’s wooden toys, they are safe, and CUTE, and moreover, my son loves them!

5 Stars Must have!
This is a favorite for my 6m old baby! She loves to clutch it and gnaw on the ears! Its durable and adorable! I’m not sure that there is a high educational value to this toy…however…at 6m old there isn’t a need to have toys that are completely educational teaching them ABCs numbers etc. We like that this is a clutch toy and fits perfectly in her hands. We often say look at the blue mouse…and say “the mouse says squeak squeak”…she loves it and that’s really what matters most!

2 Stars not for a baby that chews
This pacifier chain is great-looking, but it does not hold up to lots of chewing/sucking. My son is 4 1/2 months old and puts everything in his mouth. I checked on the chain after he chewed on it for a while and noticed that 2 beads were cracked! I ended up having to throw it out since I was afraid the beads would break and become a choking hazard.

2 Stars Beware if your baby sucks on everything
I loved the look, the feel, everything about this chain until this weekend. I bought at christmas for my son, he is now 4.5 months (2 months later) and teething, puts everything in his mouth and sucks on everything. Well the wetness caused the wood to crack on three beads, I noticed it in time, a small bit of pressure with my fingers and was able to break all three beads into pieces. I am so glad this didn’t happen when my son was playing with it, easy to choke on these pieces. If you use this item makes sure to check often for cracks!

5 Stars cute wooden chain
We had the old Haba pacifier chains (the ones that detach in the middle) and was surprised by the short length of this one; but we found out that this is the new standard length.

Our son uses the Mam pacifiers, the ones without the little ring. A good way to attach them to the chain is to remove the silicone ring that comes with the Mam holder (usually comes free with the pacifiers) and put it on this one. So, all the pacifiers can be easily attached / removed.

However, with the european style pacifiers (the ones with the ring attached) this holder takes 30 sec. longer to attach. To get the pacifier off, it’s a different story, and depends on how wet the little cord gets!

We’ve had it for a couple of months, and the cotton cord is surprisingly sturdy and shows no wear!

The clip is slightly loose since our son realized that he can detach it just by yanking it.

Bought this toy for christmas for my one year old son. He likes it but I think is a little old now for this particular toy. I also would have liked it to be much bigger than it actually is. 4 Stars Great toy to keep baby busy
My mother bought this for my son when he turned 6 months old, and it’s been a big hit with him ever since then (he’s now 11 1/2 months old). I almost gave it 5 stars, but I’m finding that as of late, my son doesn’t spend as much time with the table as he once did. He may be getting bored with it, or he may be distracted by some of the newer toys he has. Also, a fair amount of supervision is required when a child is using this toy.

Nevertheless, the table is a great piece to have, as it generates a lot of different sounds/music. No matter what the baby touches, something interesting happens as a result. I’m glad there is the fake book in the middle with one page to turn (to change modes), as my son LOVES turning pages in all of his books, but I wish there were more pages to turn. He is clearly looking for more pages. I understand why there is only one, but perhaps LeapFrog can come up with a reason to add more. Maybe there could be a lights only mode (in addition to the current ones of music and vocals).

I agree with the other reviews that mention the potential fall hazard with this toy. Even with the unit on the floor, a young baby can fall off to the side while reaching to the other end of the table. You want to be careful when the legs are used, at least at the beginning. Even a baby that’s cruising now like mine (although not walking by himself) can get into trouble by pulling the table onto himself. My son hasn’t done that yet, but he did flip the table over, so I can see the danger that is lurking when he’s a little older and can use the unit as a step stool, per other reviews.

4 Stars Love It
We received this as a gift in 2006 for our then 9 month old, she played with it until she was over 2. Now we have pulled it back out for our second child, now also 9 months and they both love playing and dancing to it. My only complaint on our model is that the on/off and english/spanish switches are on the top which are accessible to the children we finally put a piece of tape over it so they couldn’t play with the switch. They play with it constantly and it seems like we have only changed the batteries a few times.

I really like this toy. Our baby has had lots of fun dismantling the sandwich and exploring all the pieces. It is fun and I really like that everything is machine washable (except the picnic basket itself). It is fun and we have fun playing with our baby with this product!

5 Stars Sooooo Adorable! My 9-Month Old Loves It!
When I got this toy today, I immediately fell in love with it. My daughter has been playing with it all day.

The sandwich has little velcro on it so the bread, tomato, lettuce, and cheese stay together. Since I am a vegetarian, I thought it was neat that the sandwich didn’t have ham or some other meat in it…just cheese.

The soda pop “bottle” shakes with a rattle inside. The watermelon squeaks when you squeeze it. And the ice cream cone also has a bell/rattle inside.

Very adorable and age appropriate for babies 6 months and over.

4 Stars Fun soft toys
I got this set because it was soft toys that rattle and krinkle and I thought it would be a good high chair toy for my son (we have hardwood floors so he only gets soft toys in the high chair). He’s only 6 months old, but he likes making the toys rattle and krinkle. He especially likes the ice cream cone and soda bottle right now because they are easier to hold. The watermelon squeaks, but his little hands can’t do that yet. I think he’ll enjoy these toys well into his toddler years.
